Welcome to the Business Services Division web page. Our purpose
is to provide professional management and administrative direction
in the organization and activities of the business
departments. This section of the Fresno County Office of
Education consists of four separate departments: 1) District
Financial Services, 2) District Payroll, 3) Internal
Finance, and 4) Charter Schools.

District Financial Services

Our purpose is to provide district financial accounting and
auditing services including but not limited to: AB 1200 monitoring;
apportionment of state and federal entitlements, interest and
taxes; audits of accounts payable and state and federal reports;
reconciliation of cash and beginning fund balances; state software

District Payroll 
Our responsibilities are to audit monthly district payrolls, and
automatic pay deposits; prepare W-2 statements, deposit federal and
state withholdings; deposit payroll benefits (FICA/Medicare, etc.);
monitor and report State Teachers' Retirement System and Public
Employees' Retirement System deposits.

Internal Finance

Our responsibility is the financial management of the County
Schools Service Fund (CSSF) which includes: Budget development;
salary and benefit projections; processing and auditing accounts
payable; posting and monitoring accounts receivable; cash
reconciliation, prepare and audit payroll for CSSF; prepare and
process state and federal reports; monitor pupil attendance
accounting, and special projects/grants/lottery; and develop,
monitor and ensure internal controls.
