School Safety, Performance Expectations, Restructuring and Reform.
The Commission published its conclusions and recommendations in
Winter '98 in a report called: "Critical Issues for Educational
Success." Copies are available upon request, or the complete

Employment Competency Program
|
|

|
Several years
ago, a local employer group was formed to address the major issues
of students entering the workforce that lack the essential basic
skills. Their efforts led to the formation of the Employment
Competency Skills Committee, now a part of the Fresno Chamber of
Commerce.
The "Fresno County Employment Competency Program" is endorsed by
the State Center Community College
District, the Fresno Compact, Fresno County Office of
Education, Fresno Chamber of Commerce, and the State Center Consortium. It is
important to note that this Competency Program promotes critical
skills identified in several national and state
initiatives.
